Yes, that's totally how you spell "experience" whatever

Okay so yeah, last week I nearly died/got seriously injured...seriously...

Lately I've been walking to/from school instead of taking the bus which is great and all, you know, exercise and stuff, but there's this one thing. My neighborhood is on one side of this highway....and my school's on the other. And to get to the crosswalk you have to walk down a fair stretch down the road. So cause we're American and we prefer jaywalking to just walking an extra 50 feet most of the highschoolers who walk just run across the highway in a blaze of fury...while wearing dark clothing...and school starts before the sun rises...what could go wrong?
So yeah, earlier this year some kid was doing just that. Guess what happened. He got run over....by a teacher to top it off...okay well, his foot got run over so he didn't die or anything but yeah, still, some serious stuff ._.
But I wasn't jaywalking when my life was put in danger. No sir, I'm the most perfect law-abiding citizen you'll ever meet I went to the crosswalk and waited for the little walky-symbol-thing to appear. When it did I started chugging on across the highway minding my own business, halfway across the road this truck drives right in front of me. I literally could've touched that thing if I had stretched my arm out. An the 40-somethin' year old man in the truck didn't even look at me, he was just staring straight ahead at the road. What's the point of staring straight ahead at the road if you're gonna pull stunts like that man?!!!! Gods >> The lights were red, I was using the crosswalk, and I was wearing a bright green hoodie. There was no reason he shouldn't have been able to see me, unless he thought my green hoodie was a green light ._.
